Macomb Community Action and Michigan State University Extension to host Show Me the Money Days
Macomb Community Action, in partnership with Michigan State University Extension, will be one of many community organizations throughout the state to host a Show Me the Money Day - Michigan.
Show Me the Money Day is a free event that features free and low-cost financial assistance materials, community resources, financial workshops and family fun. Local events are held annually across Michigan from January to February to kick off tax season and promote opportunities to increase income, as well as how to save and build assets.
The free and public event will take place on two dates at two locations in Macomb County.

In 2018, Show Me the Money Day touched 2,450 Michigan residents at 38 events in 30 communities. Event vendors talked one-on-one with participants, while community organizations and financial institutions provided more than 145 financial workshops. Overall, 72 percent of surveyed participants reported feeling more hopeful about their financial future after attending the event.
