What You Can Do

Join Us in the Fight Against Poverty

As a society, we have the resources and knowledge to end hunger and homelessness—we just need the collective will to make these ideas a reality.

November 16-24, 2019: Join together with people across the country for Hunger and Home-lessness Awareness Week. You can help lend a hand to those in immediate need.

What You Can Do

HOST A “GRAB & GO” FOOD DRIVE—Food collection for the homeless in Macomb County—We are in need of items that are light weight, do not require food preparation or refrigeration, and are easily carried (breakfast/protein bars, trail mixes, nuts, beef jerky, Slim Jims, tuna and crackers, fruit snacks, dried fruits, juice boxes and small water bottles).

DONATE—Don’t have time for a food drive? Donate today to the Macomb Food Program and 100% of your donation will be used to purchase food. Mail checks payable to: Macomb Food Program, 21885 Dunham Road, Suite 10, Clinton Township, MI 48036, visit our website: mca.macombgov.org/MCA-ES-Food or charge by phone @ (586) 469-6004.

Collections should take place during the Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week

November 16th thru November 24th

To make arrangements to drop off your donations

EVERY PERSON DESERVES TO LIVE without worrying whether they’ll have food on their plates or a roof over their head. But instead, too many people are forced to make hard choices between paying for food, housing, and other critical expenses.
