Macomb County's Human Services Coordinating Body (HSCB), in partnership with county officials, today launched MATRIX (Macomb's Access to Resource Information Xpress), a resource designed to link Macomb residents to health and human services. The program features a digital questionnaire that helps indicate residents' needs and immediately link them to county departments providing those services.
Community Services
The Community Services Division of Macomb Community Action receives Emergency Solution Grant (ESG) funds through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to support homelessness prevention, emergency shelter, and related services.
A program designed to assist with fall prevention in the home by providing a safety assessment and installation of recommended devices.
Assists eligible homeowners with repairs to achieve decent, safe and sanitary affordable housing as defined by Macomb County Housing Rehabilitation Standards.
Low Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP)
Macomb Community Action's Transportation program provides transportation to essential medical appointments and other specific locations for eligible Macomb County residents. Services are also provided in coordination with other Macomb Community Action programs such as Head Start, Meals on Wheels and the Adult Day Care Program.
Installation of energy saving items designed to make a home more energy efficient.
Assists Macomb County seniors and adults with disabilities with grass cutting and snow removal.
