Home Injury prevention program
Home Injury Prevention Program installs devices to ensure safety and prevent falls and injuries in the homes of eligible Macomb County seniors.
Program staff will conduct an assessment, make recommendations and install one or more of the following safety devices:
- Grab Bars
- Shower Chairs
- Transfer Benches
- Handheld Shower Heads
- Toilet Assist Rails
- Raised Toilet Seats
- Indoor and Outdoor Handrails
- Smoke Alarms
The suggested contribution is $10 per device and $10 for the safety assessment.

The number of ramps is limited. A waiting list is maintained for this project. There is a nominal usage fee for the ramps.
